Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at military installations.
  • •Deliver counseling/consultation, conduct briefings and presentations, and provide referral resources.
  • •Assists service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials and coordinate/publicize personal financial management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Works with installation and military branch POCs to ensure the program is provided within scope and meets installation needs, including managing duty-to-warn situations and participating in supervision/training activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process for organizational conflicts of interest.
  • •Hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
