Key Responsibilities

  • •Discover, identify, analyse, execute, manage, and monetize dislocations and mispricing in physical and financial base metals markets.
  • •Define and execute the metals trading strategy, partnering on the development and implementation of the global metals trading strategy.
  • •Formulate and execute trading strategies across physical and financial base metals, using tradeable instruments within the base metals complex.
  • •Manage existing and new client accounts with the sales team, developing trade ideas and proactive solution pitches with sales and research teams.
  • •Deliver trading within Marketing’s risk and governance framework, ensure approved-limit execution, and coach others to embed a zero-breach culture.

Key Requirements

  • •Solid, widespread industry network with senior representatives across counterparts (producers, consumers, traders).
  • •Mastery of the economic, commercial and political issues affecting base metals markets.
  • •Mastery of global commodity markets and their drivers, plus the base metals value chain.
  • •Understanding and track record in refined metals trading.
  • •Understanding of financial risk management and derivatives trading.
