Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and maintain electrical components such as transformers, cutouts, lightning arresters, crossarms, insulators, switches, and conductors overhead or underground.
  • •Maintain and repair the power distribution system and perform routine troubleshooting.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance on overhead equipment.
  • •Implement assigned improvements and modifications.
  • •Respond to unusual conditions, work call-outs as needed, and assist with outage-associated work while reporting to field supervisory personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • •Valid Texas Class “A” Commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsements.
  • •Maintain a valid home telephone number and prefer living within 30 minutes of SACROC.
  • •Good verbal communications skills; strong teamwork and work ethic.
  • •Proficient with power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment; basic computer skills; ability to perform heavy manual work up to 100 pounds and work in unfavorable weather.
