Job Summary

Originate residential 1st mortgage loans for outside referrals, owning the loan process from application through closing. Build and maintain referral relationships, assess applicants, and collect required documentation to deliver complete loan packages on time. Manage a loan pipeline, provide timely updates to branches and applicants, and meet mortgage sales and cross-selling objectives while following risk, compliance, and escalation protocols.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts).
•Take and process applications, completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 and using systems to access rates and credit reports.
•Collect documentation, ensure timely delivery of loan packages, and manage the loan pipeline through closing.
•Provide timely updates and progress reports to branches and applicants while maintaining customer service expectations.
•Attend required Consumer Lending meetings and maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and escalation protocols.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (four-year college degree preferred).
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and basic sales technique skills.
