Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle in accordance with applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule, following traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment as needed, including returning equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks (e.g., oil, water, fuel, air) while reporting maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and complete a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Provide professional, courteous customer service and communicate effectively with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to sit for long periods and lift/move up to 40 pounds; travel frequently; follow any role-specific appearance requirements (e.g., clean-shaven if required).
