Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, organize, and conduct classroom, behind-the-wheel, and in-service training for new and experienced bus drivers in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • •Train drivers in safe bus operation, maintenance, and special needs transportation (if applicable).
  • •Develop and maintain bus safety, accident prevention, and investigation programs, including report preparation and training record maintenance.
  • •Oversee bus driver licensing, certifications, and compliance with DMV, DoT, and US Army government regulations; ensure training schedules and coverage meet mission needs.
  • •Assist in accident investigations and incident reporting; conduct safety drills, evacuation procedures, and general bus inspections while maintaining training records and dispatch/movement documentation completeness.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate or equivalent.
  • •3–4 years of experience in bus driver training or related transportation roles, including prior training experience.
  • •Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
  • •Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.
  • •Applicant must possess a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver’s license.
