Job Summary

Lead the RF electronics architecture that powers DroneShield’s modular counter-drone devices. Own system-level accuracy, performance stability, and maintainability by proposing next-generation electronics architectures, guiding SCH/PCB implementation, and driving validation planning. Use expertise in wide-band RF circuitry, high-speed digital interfaces, and high-power RF output to troubleshoot hardware issues and support manufacturing test specifications. Mentor engineers and help develop documentation and QC practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the RF electronics architecture and work on the core technology supporting accuracy, performance stability, and maintenance.
•Propose next-generation electronics architecture and guide engineers on SCH/PCB design implementation.
•Review and support development of validation test plans; troubleshoot existing design problems and perform hardware issue root-cause analysis.
•Design schematic and PCB using Altium, including contributions to the component database and document templates.
•Design and support manufacturing test specifications for production setup and debugging; employ sound industry practices for documentation and QC while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (or similar technical field) or equivalent practical experience.
•Minimum 15 years’ experience in RF hardware design, test, and production support.
•Expert knowledge of benchtop test equipment (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyser, signal generators) for validating high-speed digital and RF interfaces.
•Significant experience with SCH and PCB design using Altium, including hardware design theory (e.g., isolation, matching networks, filter specifications).
•Proven experience in receiver sensitivity principles and/or RF amplifier design, including design for battery-powered applications and antenna working knowledge.
