Job Summary

Support the operations and expansion of SpaceX’s large-scale AI infrastructure and supercomputing facilities in the Memphis area by ensuring environmental compliance. Serve as a subject matter expert to mitigate environmental risks, optimize resource use (especially water and energy), and maintain full regulatory compliance. Develop and improve environmental programs, manage hazardous materials and waste reporting, oversee audits and permitting plans, and coordinate with cross-functional teams and environmental contractors.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental programs at Memphis-area facilities.
•Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations established by relevant agencies.
•Track, review, and interpret new and proposed environmental laws and regulations, providing guidance to leadership and engineering teams.
•Perform regular environmental audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance.
•Manage hazardous materials and waste management programs and maintain site operational compliance plans, including SWPPP, SPCC, and permitting documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
•2+ years of experience developing and executing environmental and regulatory compliance programs.
•Ability to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, TDEC, and relevant agencies).
•Experience managing hazardous materials and waste management programs, including required reporting and recordkeeping.
•Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting, including air permitting and stormwater management practices.
