Key Responsibilities

  • •Tailor cost control approaches to client needs and align with best practice within project and programme teams.
  • •Implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
  • •Develop and maintain cost breakdown structures and align time phasing of budgets against the work breakdown structure to control actual costs.
  • •Map and integrate cost estimates to the work packages/planning packages/control accounts, and ensure accruals reflect actual cost of work performed accurately.
  • •Produce cost reports on a regular basis, including analysis of earned value management information, and provide advice to support status reporting and performance management decision-making.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrable experience in cost control is essential.
  • •A detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting, and performance reporting/analysis.
  • •Experience leading cost control assurance activities as part of project performance cadence.
  • •Practical experience using MS Excel and other MS applications.
  • •Familiarity with at least one cost control tool (preferred/desirable).
