Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership and deliver hands-on across back-end APIs and front-end components, making credible technical decisions.
  • •Set and own technical direction, including architecture, design patterns, and engineering standards.
  • •Lead projects end-to-end from ideation through execution to maintenance; participate in design and code reviews.
  • •Line manage engineers through one-to-ones, expectations, honest feedback, career coaching, and performance support.
  • •Work with product and design partners to plan, prioritise, and communicate delivery progress, risks, and trade-offs.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience as a software engineer shipping and running production systems.
  • •Proven line management experience, including career development, hiring, and performance management.
  • •Comfort remaining hands-on—writing and reviewing production code and contributing credibly to technical discussions.
  • •Deep, current fluency in JavaScript, with experience designing and deploying production-grade RESTful APIs (GraphQL knowledge is a plus).
