Key Responsibilities

  • •Build referral systems, social sharing flows, engagement loops, and real-time mechanics that make Acorns’ product spread.
  • •Own features end-to-end from data model to shipped customer experience with quality and performance accountability in production.
  • •Deliver features across iOS, Android, Web, and backend services, moving between platforms as needed for each initiative.
  • •Define and instrument events for visibility, using analytics to iterate quickly.
  • •Set and uphold the technical bar and architecture, partnering closely with the CEO, Senior Product Manager, and Senior Designer.

Key Requirements

  • •Have built social or engagement systems at scale, including feeds, referral flows, notification infrastructure, social graphs, or real-time interactions.
  • •Own features end-to-end across the full stack, designing the data model, writing the API, shipping the client, and monitoring in production.
  • •Have shipped production features across more than one platform (iOS, Android, or Web) with depth in at least one and ability to ramp up in the others.
  • •Instrument growth or engagement features using analytics events and use data to drive meaningful iteration.
  • •Comfortable working in a fast-moving, low-process environment and using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) as accelerators.
