Job Summary

Serve as a second-line Networking Managed Services Engineer, keeping client IT infrastructure operational through proactive monitoring and incident resolution. Review tickets and requests of medium complexity, investigate and log issues before escalation, and restore services in line with SLAs. Collaborate with clients and internal teams during shift handovers, escalate to Centres of Excellence when needed, and support automation, change management, quality audits, and initial client escalations.

Key Responsibilities

•Proactively monitor client work queues, execute operational tasks, and update tickets with actions taken.
•Investigate, analyze, and log incidents and problems before they escalate, ensuring services are restored within SLAs.
•Provide second-line support by reviewing tickets/requests, resolving medium-complexity issues, and coordinating with clients and internal teams.
•Handle shift handover by highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks, and escalate to Centres of Excellence when required.
•Support change management and quality by logging change requests, executing approved maintenance, auditing tickets, and contributing to automation and (as needed) disaster recovery tasks.

Key Requirements

•Proficiency with technologies such as Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls, plus familiarity with ticketing tools.
•At least one technical certification in the technologies mentioned above.
•Strong planning skills to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances.
•Ability to communicate effectively across different cultures and social groups.
•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification/work experience) in IT/Computing.
