Job Summary

Lead and oversee daily asphalt paving operations by supervising paving crews, coordinating resources, and ensuring jobsite safety. Serve as the on-site safety champion and primary representative for paving activities. Plan work activities and production goals, read and interpret plans/specifications, manage quality control, and coordinate deliveries, traffic control, and grade crews. Maintain time/material/production records and assist with field measurements and labor or equipment tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the jobsite Safety Champion, enforcing company policies and OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
•Lead, supervise, train, and schedule paving crews while coordinating daily work activities and production goals.
•Read and interpret plans, specifications, and work orders; oversee quality control and finished product standards.
•Coordinate asphalt deliveries, supplies, trucking, traffic control, and grade crews.
•Maintain time, material, and production records (including daily crew timecards) and assist in the field as needed.

Key Requirements

•5–10 years of asphalt paving experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•Strong understanding of asphalt paving methods, equipment, and materials.
•Ability to read plans, grades, and specifications and oversee quality control and finished product standards.
•Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA, and CDL regulations.
