Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure ongoing safety (including Process Safety) and environmental compliance for assigned areas; serve as Incident Commander for shelter-in-place emergencies.
  • •Supervise production employees, including orientation, work assignments, training compliance, development, and performance management (coaching, counseling, reviews, corrective actions).
  • •Meet operation and production goals by keeping units operating at target rates and on spec within equipment and environmental limitations.
  • •Maintain accurate records, process metrics, shift logs, and required documentation; prepare regular and non-normal reports.
  • •Facilitate daily Tier 1 shift meetings, conduct line walks for housekeeping and procedure compliance, and support Safe Systems of Work, contractor oversight, and incident reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • •5+ years of full-time experience in a directly related role.
  • •Associate’s degree in Process Technology or Operations Management (or closely related) plus 2+ years relevant experience; 7 years related operating experience can substitute for the associate’s degree.
  • •Pass Huntsman’s Process Safety Technical Review within 1 year of assignment.
  • •Proficiency with Internet, email, and Microsoft programs; experience in chemical manufacturing shifts and 24/7 manufacturing processes.
