Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the reservations system, booking policies, and diary management end to end.
  • •Optimise table utilisation and pacing to balance guest experience with revenue (RevPASH).
  • •Manage waitlists, cancellations, and last-minute requests efficiently.
  • •Maintain a detailed VIP and regular-guest database to ensure recognition and personalisation.
  • •Recruit, train, and lead the reservations and reception team while setting standards for guest communication and coordinating large parties, events, and private dining bookings.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3–4 years’ experience as a Reservations Manager within a busy, premium restaurant environment in South Africa.
  • •Proven experience leading reservations, front office, or guest relations in premium hospitality.
  • •Experience using reservations platforms such as SevenRooms, OpenTable or similar (preferred).
  • •Demonstrable commercial understanding of covers, table utilisation, pacing, and the revenue impact of no-shows and cancellations.
  • •Experience recruiting, training, and leading a reservations or reception team, with exceptional organisation and attention to detail.
