Job Summary

Support ByteDance’s AI Data & Safety team by developing and managing external data supplier partnerships for foundation models and AI-native applications. Conduct market research, translate insights into data resource strategies, evaluate and onboard suppliers, and negotiate commercial terms. Coordinate end-to-end supplier delivery with internal teams, manage compliance and cost control, and continuously assess supplier performance to improve data quality and accelerate model iteration.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with AI model training teams to define data types, standards, and core requirements, and conduct market research on AI data trends.
•Identify and engage startups and data suppliers; evaluate and onboard suppliers to build a robust data ecosystem.
•Produce analytical reports to support decision-making in AI model training and data procurement.
•Lead supplier onboarding and qualification, and manage end-to-end commercial engagements including contract negotiation and compliance review.
•Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality data delivery and maintain long-term supplier relationships through performance evaluation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business Management, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or related fields (or relevant AI data internship/project experience).
•At least 2 years of relevant experience in AI data services, data sourcing, supplier/vendor management, or business development.
•Ability to independently conduct market research, synthesize insights, and solve complex problems.
•Proven ability in supplier sourcing and channel development to match high-quality resources to business needs.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in complex and ambiguous situations.
