Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and prepare food formulations and prototypes for customer and business initiatives at pilot-plant and lab-bench scale using Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • •Operate laboratory equipment safely and with little direct supervision to support project needs.
  • •Perform laboratory experiments, conduct data analysis, interpret results, and make recommendations to the project team.
  • •Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow good housekeeping and safety guidelines.
  • •Manage project work to meet timelines; present prototypes and project status updates and write technical reports with manager guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food or Chemical Engineering (or related field) with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred.
  • •Must have completed at least two years of coursework and be a sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior.
  • •Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas (and not OPT/CPT).
  • •Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment and work 40 hours per week during the summer internship term.
  • •Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
