Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and continuously enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD), initiating BOD content from site/risk assessment and programming at project kickoffs.
  • •Author and evolve security design templates (drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, riser diagrams, ancillary documents) for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems, aligned to standards/codes.
  • •Serve as contract-document subject matter expert by reviewing consultant deliverables (SD/DD/CD, RIBA stage packages, specifications, equipment schedules) and driving coordination across architectural, electrical/fire alarm, network, AV, and Real Estate/Workplace disciplines.
  • •Support bid, construction, and operational handover through specification clarifications, RFI responses, submittals review, shop-drawing back-checks, and ensuring closeout documentation/as-builts match issued contract documents.
  • •Maintain the GSIS design library under version control, implement automations/AI-assisted workflows (including BIM add-ins and web utilities) to streamline documentation updates, and provide status updates to the Physical Security DEC Manager.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 6+ years of design engineering experience with ownership of physical security contract document development and/or low-voltage systems.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • •Core expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems, with ability to author specifications/drawings/equipment schedules.
  • •Strong understanding of A/E deliverables and phases (SD/DD/CD, RIBA Stages), CSI-format specifications, and construction administration submittal processes.
