Job Summary

Lead and collaborate with ~30 SMEs globally to maintain and enhance HSBC's DevOps platform and toolchain, enabling software development across Mobile and other Digital Platforms. Establish engineering practices and dashboards to monitor quality, productivity, and system health; build strong technical relationships with architecture teams and CTO groups; drive DevOps excellence and innovation across global teams within a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and collaborate with ~30 SMEs globally to maintain and enhance the DevOps platform and toolchain, with a focus on Mobile engineering needs.
•Establish engineering practices and dashboards to monitor engineering quality, productivity, and system health; ensure operational stability and service quality indicators.
•Maintain strong technical relationships with Architecture teams, Value Stream leads, and CTO groups to align on engineering strategy and delivery.
•Represent Digital Platforms for DevOps within the IWPB and Technology community, focusing on automation, quality and operational stability.
•Leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive engineering innovation and efficiency.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of technology leadership in software engineering, with deep experience in mobile engineering and delivery; proficient in Python, C++, and JavaScript
•Strong hands-on experience with mobile build, signing and release pipelines (iOS/Android/Harmony), including compilation, packaging, versioning and deployment to enterprise distribution/app stores
•Hands-on engineering background with DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipeline design, and configuration management using Git, Jenkins, Ansible (or equivalents)
•Proven track record delivering large-scale technology transformations within complex, regulated financial services environments
•Ability to lead global, cross-cultural teams, manage engineering under tight budgets and timeframes, and balance risk, security, and delivery value
