Job Summary

Senior data engineer responsible for building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines for the SimpliFi Data Pool on Azure. You will design and implement pipelines (Data Vault, staging/raw/BI layers), ensure data quality and governance, review code, and collaborate with MDM/ETL specialists to enable transparent data lineage and reporting across SAP-integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement data pipelines in line with established engineering standards (Data Vault, naming conventions, modelling approaches) and translate lead-level decisions into working solutions
•Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines across ingestion, transformation and loading across Raw Data Vault, Business Data Vault, UJT and CORE layers using Databricks, Azure Synapse and IDMC
•Ensure data quality within pipeline scope by implementing checks and resolving issues before downstream propagation
•Review code from junior/mid-level engineers and share best practices to raise team capability
•Collaborate with Data Modellers, MDM/RDM specialists and IT leads to translate constraints into planning inputs and maintain data governance (lineage, access controls)

Key Requirements

•Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines (batch and streaming)
•Proficiency with Spark, Databricks and cloud-native data stack
•Experience with modern lakehouse/warehouse platforms (Databricks, Azure Synapse)
•Deep knowledge of data modeling (Data Vault, Kimball dimensional models) and data governance (lineage, access controls)
•CI/CD for data pipelines (GitHub Actions) and infrastructure as code basics (Terraform)
