Job Summary

Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for planning and executing engineering activities to oversee the Prime Contractor and sub-suppliers for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. Leads mechanical deliverable reviews, ensures conformance to PC requirements, supports design, construction, and commissioning, and facilitates effective stakeholder communications within ENEC’s Mechanical Department.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Mechanical Department in order to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and effective manner
•Advise management on issues affecting the project in order to take necessary actions as required
•Conduct primary technical reviews on PC design deliverables related to mechanical equipment and systems, such as design and calculation documents, P&ID's, PFD's, relevant technical specifications, and procurement and tendering packages to ensure compliance with PC requirements, project schedule, as well as UAE laws and regulations
•Monitor the PC as necessary to ensure expectations are met in the assigned aspects of mechanical systems and equipment during the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of BNPP
•Review vendor documentations with respect to mechanical equipment and materials to ensure compliance with the PC requirements

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
•Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
•Experience in construction or related industry operations in a mechanical engineering role
•Preferred: Master’s degree in Nuclear, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
•Experience in power plant piping design and stress analysis
