Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and use instruments to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document work by completing DOT forms and uploading photos and findings on repair orders using the company iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combination such as degree/certification beyond HS/GED or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license/state-of-residence driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
