Key Responsibilities

  • •Write, rewrite, and edit technical documents and publications (e.g., procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications).
  • •Acquire subject-matter knowledge through interviews and by reviewing technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
  • •Translate complex technical data into user-friendly text for print and electronic publications, including government proposals and websites.
  • •Oversee preparation of illustrative materials (drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts) and conduct quality review of deliverables.
  • •Develop cataloging systems and maintain records, files, electronic media, and archiving for publications; support seminars and technical presentations as needed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 80,000 - 90,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •High school with 6–9 years (or commensurate experience).
  • •SECRET clearance required.
  • •3–5 years of drafting/illustrating experience in the electronics field using computerized drafting applications.
  • •Experience with AutoCAD and digital imaging techniques, including planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex items.
  • •Experience with DoD processes and procedures.
