Mitigation Specialist

Support local, state, tribal, and territorial clients in coordinating and managing the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). Provide technical guidance on FEMA HMGP, including Sections 404 and 406, and interpret regulations such as 44 CFR, the Stafford Act, HMA policy, and NEPA to assess eligibility, scope, and cost reasonableness. Prepare and review project documentation for FEMA submission, develop benefit-cost analyses, draft sub-recipient guidance, and manage documentation in electronic systems.
