Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish the Shanghai Future Computing Prototyping Studio, including operating model, engineering culture, technical standards, lab environment, partner cadence, and portfolio-management process.
  • •Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop the initial team; personally lead anchor hires across Linux, Android, virtualization, hardware integration, AI, cloud, developer-experience, UX, and technical-program leaders.
  • •Define technical architecture and a prototype roadmap with HP product, engineering, design, strategy, and business leaders; translate future-computing concepts into four-to-twelve-week programs with measurable acceptance criteria.
  • •Design and validate prototypes around customer, product, and business hypotheses using benchmarks, executive reviews, partner input, and limited pilots; build investment cases and productization plans.
  • •Deliver executive-quality hardware prototypes on near-target devices, lead ODM and ecosystem execution, and manage portfolio, budget, and executive communication; escalate issues with concrete recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or related, or equivalent practical experience.
  • •Typically 15 or more years of relevant engineering, product-development, or advanced-technology experience.
  • •Significant experience leading multidisciplinary software or systems-engineering organizations.
  • •Demonstrated success recruiting, hiring, and developing senior engineers, technical leads, designers, and early-career talent.
  • •Experience taking new concepts from prototype/incubation through validation and into product development or commercial delivery.
