Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver Humanities lessons that inspire students, creating a nurturing and play-based learning environment aligned to the curriculum.
  • •Plan, prepare, and present sessions for the whole ability range; organize learning resources and classroom displays.
  • •Assess and record student development using Target Tracker and use assessment data to guide further planning and intervention.
  • •Follow the school behaviour policy and manage classes effectively; maintain positive relationships with pupils and act decisively when needed.
  • •Provide feedback to parents/carers at conferences and meetings using school systems such as CPOMS; participate in curriculum action groups and run a weekly ECA each term.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in Education or a related subject, plus PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • •Teaching experience in the English National Curriculum.
  • •Clear understanding of the curriculum and the ability to plan and deliver lessons for the whole ability range.
  • •Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum with proven success.
  • •Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD); experience in more than one international school is desirable.
