Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load/unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain and deliver shipping paperwork and perform routine service checks, reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeurs license depending on state and vehicle weight requirements.
  • •Pass background and required drug testing, and complete a DOT physical since trucks are over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Lift and move up to 40 pounds and be able to perform prolonged sitting in a trailer cab for long periods.
