Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain backend microservices in Golang for authentication and authorization across Kong Konnect and Developer Portal.
  • •Build scalable REST/gRPC APIs integrating identity and access management capabilities across the Kong ecosystem.
  • •Deploy and manage services on AWS using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability.
  • •Implement secure, high-performance backend services enforcing access control policies for high-volume traffic.
  • •Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code; participate in code reviews, design discussions, architecture planning, and on-call rotation.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend services and distributed systems.
  • •Strong proficiency in Golang building production microservices.
  • •Experience designing and building API-first services (REST, gRPC) for identity and access control.
  • •Hands-on AWS experience (e.g., EKS, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3) and Kubernetes for deployment/scaling.
