Job Summary

Operate, maintain, and monitor crushing plant equipment—including crushers, screens, conveyors, and bins—to ensure safe, efficient production of aggregates. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating, assist with repairs, and keep work areas organized. Follow safety procedures and MSHA/company policies, complete pre-shift safety exams, and report hazards. Maintain production, downtime, and maintenance records, and handle materials by receiving, processing, and checking stockpiles for quality.

Job Function: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Operate crushers, conveyors, screens, and other related equipment to produce crushed materials to the desired size and consistency.
•Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment; identify and report malfunctions and maintenance needs.
•Follow safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing PPE; ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company policies and conduct daily pre-shift safety exams.
•Maintain records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections; record and report production data, downtime incidents, and maintenance schedules.
•Receive and process incoming materials, prepare materials for crushing, assist with plant tasks as needed, and check stockpiles to ensure required quality.

Key Requirements

•Less than or equal to a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.
•Prior heavy equipment experience, including crushing operation, is helpful.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; able to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rates/ratios/percent and draw/interpret bar graphs.
•Must follow safety requirements and procedures, including wearing required PPE and adhering to MSHA and company policies.
