Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Construction Manager in delivering heavy civil projects through Southern Nevada.
  • •Supervise inspection staff and perform initial, follow-up, and final comprehensive inspections for moderate to increased complexity/scope.
  • •Collect, compile, and analyze inspection data from site work, plans/blueprints/schematics, technical drawings, and material sampling; document findings.
  • •Verify load calculations, change orders, and interpretation of contract plans and specifications; resolve plan interpretation differences.
  • •Produce written and oral technical reports, calculate contractor payments due, support risk identification and mitigation, and attend pre-construction meetings to coordinate inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •Minimum of 9 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior construction inspection experience.
  • •Familiarity with CCPW and NDOT specifications and construction requirements.
  • •Advanced knowledge of construction inspection principles and relevant construction codes, regulations, and compliance record-keeping requirements.
  • •Ability to perform technical computations and calculations, write technical reports, and hold a valid state driver’s license (pass Motor Vehicle screening).
