Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and implementation of MLIR-based compilers to execute on NPU/GPU platforms, enabling high-performance machine learning workloads.
  • •Debug complex issues arising during system integration to ensure accurate validation and reliable operation across hardware/software boundaries.
  • •Optimize performance using techniques such as fusion and tiling, and drive continuous improvement of compiler and runtime stacks for AMD architectures.
  • •Collaborate with multiple teams (hardware, software, validation) to track test execution and ensure features are validated and delivered on schedule.
  • •Contribute to product development with root-cause analysis and strategic technical decisions that influence AMD’s AI/compute roadmap.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering
  • •Experience designing and implementing compiler/software systems for hardware accelerators (MLIR, MLIR-based models)
  • •Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python (and exposure to languages like Perl/Ruby)
  • •Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities with a track record of delivering on complex system integration tasks
  • •Ability to lead and drive tasks to completion in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
