Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical calculations and design for building electrical systems, including routing engineering assignments.
  • •Develop and document electrical engineering work from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy reporting.
  • •Stay current on applicable codes and technologies for power, lighting, telecommunications, and fire alarm systems.
  • •Research, develop, design, specify, and witness testing of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials.
  • •Coordinate with clients and multiple disciplines, serve as electrical point of contact, and assist with proposals and discipline plans; mentor and review junior staff work for quality and training needs.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar plus 6 years of related experience (or equivalent).
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • •Strong knowledge of building electrical codes and standards, including National Electric Code (NEC) and other listed codes/standards.
  • •10+ years experience designing building electrical systems and conventional electrical building engineering practices.
  • •Federal project experience, including agency standards and compliance with regulations; experience across additional listed markets is preferred.
