Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide estimating, cost planning, and produce/present final cost plans through design milestones.
  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle, including reconciliation of changes for accurate contractor data.
  • •Review design and contractor submissions with the design services team and general contractor; prepare written executive summary comments.
  • •Manage cost checks, valuations, post-contract cost variances, change control, contingency management, and commitment tracking logs.
  • •Prepare and present monthly cost reports, coordinate funding data presentations/VE sessions, support final account agreement, and compile built cost records for benchmarking.

Key Requirements

  • •5–7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is preferred.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • •Strong communication skills and good knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
