Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of complex property claims, including understanding coverage and potential legal liability.
  • •Investigate claim damages through research across insured parties, third parties, and external resources; identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Review prior loss history, determine coverage for complex policy terms and contingencies, and make Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and settle complex claims within authority limits, and collaborate with management on settlements outside authority limits.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate (or similar estimating tools/platforms).
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50–75% of the year and acquire/maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
