Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day operations across all Midstream safety activities to implement EGA safety management systems, strategic plans, policies, and programs.
  • •Manage people performance and objectives for the department, including talent development initiatives and adherence to organizational values.
  • •Prepare and recommend the department budget; monitor financial performance vs. budget while ensuring activities follow approved guidelines.
  • •Oversee implementation, updating, review, and auditing of safety systems, procedures, and controls across EGA safety departments.
  • •Plan, lead, coordinate, and conduct safety projects, safety meetings and inspections, safety/compliance audits, and comprehensive safety programs; ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; preferred areas include Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering (e.g., Safety Engineering).
  • •15+ years of safety experience in an industrial environment, including at least 5 years at a safety management level.
  • •Knowledge of UAE safety regulations (e.g., MoHRE guidelines) and, in some cases, a local license or permit.
  • •Lead and manage safety management systems: implement, update, review, and audit EGA safety systems and procedures.
  • •Demonstrated risk management, conflict resolution, leadership, communication, and ability to conduct audits, inspections, and safety meetings.
