Own end-to-end payroll accuracy and time & attendance updates for the Christchurch Engine Centre, partnering with Global Financial Services and production leaders to resolve payroll system issues. Process superannuation and IRD payments, manage deductions reporting, and support audit-ready record keeping. Drive HR analytics and business analysis to improve payroll and HR processes during a transition to a global shared services model, while providing generalist HR support and leading payroll optimization projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain payroll system and time & attendance data accuracy through timely updates that meet payroll deadlines.
•Liaise with Global Financial Services and production leaders to troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues.
•Process superannuation and IRD payments and provide third-party deductions reports accurately and on time.
•Respond to payroll enquiries, maintain audit-ready records, and liaise with HR third-party support providers.
•Lead payroll system and process optimisation projects and support HR analytics to improve payroll and HR operations during shared services transition.

Key Requirements

•3-5 years of relevant experience in payroll or HR administration.
•Working knowledge of NZ employment legislation and the Holidays Act 2003 gained through prior payroll experience.
•Knowledge of SAP or similar systems and familiarity with enterprise payroll systems.
•Member of NZPPA, with a Certificate in Payroll Foundations Skills and NZPPA Certificate in Payroll Calculations.
•Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, human resources, or equivalent is desirable.
