Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage an assigned caseload of complex property claims requiring knowledge of claims coverage and potential legal liability.
  • •Investigate claim damages using multiple sources and identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Determine coverage by analyzing complex policy terms, contingencies, and prior loss history; create SIU referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and settle complex claims within authority limits, collaborating with management for settlements outside authority and maintaining accurate claim outcomes.
  • •Prepare estimates using estimating technology and virtual inspection tools, and support CAT response operations as needed including on-call and possible evening/weekend work.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •2+ years of relevant property claims adjusting experience for moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates with dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50–75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.
