Job Summary

Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles and construction/heavy equipment at a rental facility. Use diagnostic and wiring skills to integrate ignition, keypad, and telematics communications, troubleshoot issues, and work through varying installation scenarios. Operate machinery for testing, travel to client sites and EquipmentShare rental yards within a defined radius, and represent the EquipmentShare platform and brand in the field.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Remove and replace ignition systems and integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
•Work through installation scenarios from basic wiring (power/ignition/ground) to complex custom wiring harness setups involving the CAN network.
•Identify and resolve problems by gathering/analyzing information and developing alternative solutions when needed.
•Travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards in the region and occasionally work weekends or outside business hours.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude and hands-on tool experience, with readiness to learn and work hard.
•Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer) and/or skills as a mobile electronics installer or automotive electronics technician.
•Ability to use an iPhone/mobile phone and navigate basic computer systems.
•Clean driving record, ability to pass a background check, and safety requirements including a 10-panel drug screen.
