Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build solutions for highly scalable and reliable distributed systems central to Adyen’s integrity platform.
  • •Develop and implement technology and processes for KYC data collection and automated customer verification across onboarding.
  • •Contribute to a platform framework for onboarding legal entities and integrating identity and verification capabilities.
  • •Influence the full software development lifecycle, including architectural design, strategic implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • •Maintain system health via monitoring, defined SLOs, effective alerting, and observability tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong foundation in Java with experience building web services and REST APIs.
  • •Experience building and maintaining highly scalable, reliable distributed systems.
  • •Comfort working with SQL/PostgreSQL and using databases effectively.
  • •Operational excellence mindset with monitoring best practices, SLOs, and resilience patterns.
  • •Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering (or related) or equivalent practical experience.
