Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead engineers, technicians, and trainees by assessing capabilities, identifying development opportunities, and motivating the team daily.
  • •Drive pace, accuracy, and engineering standards across all aspects of the CFC operation, leading from the front.
  • •Allocate day-to-day workload and be involved in any disciplinary issues.
  • •Support shift operations on a 24/7 shift pattern with 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends.
  • •Use strong mechanical/electrical engineering expertise and knowledge of production, picking, and storage systems to enable sound engineering decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience leading a team of engineers within an automated FMCG environment and making critical decisions in a fast-paced setting.
  • •Be a competent, experienced engineer in your own right (mechanical or electrical) with familiarity and competence in both streams to enable decision-making.
  • •Comprehensive understanding of production, picking and storage MHE systems.
  • •Computer literate with experience working with computerised maintenance management systems.
  • •Engineering HNC (or equivalent relevant degree) and ideally Electrical and/or mechanical applied learning or apprenticeship skills to at least NVQ 3.
