Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead global vendor liaison and permitting compliance by identifying and vetting architecture vendors and local code consultants to ensure building, fire, and life-safety code compliance.
  • •Perform early-stage site due diligence and assess zoning, building-code, and permitting risk for new global sites to prevent late redesigns and schedule slips.
  • •Develop and maintain standardized, modular architectural concepts for modular data center buildings, auxiliary buildings, and campus layouts that scale across geographies.
  • •Develop in-house architectural designs for new products and first-of-a-kind site conditions before handing off to local architects and permitting consultants for jurisdictional review.
  • •Act as architectural point of contact linking product/engineering with architects, general contractors, and code consultants to ensure life-safety, occupancy, and operational workflow requirements are carried through to as-built construction and readiness sign-off.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or related field) and professional licensure (RA/AIA or international equivalent).
  • •5–7 years leading architectural design and permitting for ground-up commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities, working with local AHJs and performing in-house design for new products/site conditions.
  • •Working knowledge of IBC and ability to navigate comparable international building, fire, and life-safety codes across multiple countries.
  • •Ability to operate with high autonomy, defining the playbook rather than inheriting one.
  • •Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% to project sites, vendor offices, and construction locations worldwide.
