Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform product engineering work for Genus Synthesis to achieve best-in-class power, performance, and area (PPA) for latest digital ASICs.
  • •Understand internal feature flows, verify correctness, and run experiments to find optimal solutions.
  • •Solve physical-aware synthesis problems aimed at bridging logic synthesis and place-and-route.
  • •Support field engineers and customers in using Genus, and interface between R&D and customers as first-line support.
  • •Verify interoperability of Genus with other Cadence digital logic tools and document Product Requirement Specifications for new features.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with digital design and EDA, focusing on Cadence synthesis, physical design, and timing closure at 20nm or below nodes.
  • •Prior Designer, Product Engineering, or Application Engineering experience in digital implementation, especially synthesis.
  • •Knowledge of industry challenges in digital implementation with exposure to 28nm or below foundry process nodes, including sign-off domain experience.
  • •Industry experience using EDA tools across the IC digital implementation flow, preferably Genus and Innovus.
  • •Automation skills using Perl, Tcl, and shell scripting; HDL knowledge (Verilog or SystemVerilog preferred) and strong logic design/timing closure skills.
