Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the school’s curriculum, ensuring breadth, depth, challenge, sequencing, and progression.
  • •Lead the whole-school assessment strategy, ensuring formative, summative, diagnostic, and standardised assessments are purposeful and aligned to curriculum intent.
  • •Establish systems for analysing attainment, progress, value-added outcomes, student-group outcomes, and emerging trends; build dashboards and performance indicators to drive action.
  • •Strengthen moderation and assessment literacy to ensure assessment accurately informs understanding of attainment, progress, gaps, and next steps.
  • •Contribute to whole-school strategic planning, self-evaluation, quality assurance, and improvement planning while ensuring curriculum, assessment, and data systems align with KHDA/DSIB and external requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area, or equivalent.
  • •Hold a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or B.Ed., or equivalent.
  • •Have significant successful teaching experience within a school environment.
  • •Demonstrate proven experience in curriculum leadership or a comparable whole-school role.
  • •Demonstrate experience using assessment and student performance data to improve teaching and outcomes, including leading professional development through change.
