Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure environmental compliance with applicable regulations including AQMD, EPA/RCRA, DOT, and CUPA.
  • •Manage RCRA hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and hazardous waste drum logs, sign-in sheets, and VOC solvent usage logs.
  • •Monitor and maintain hazardous waste levels at department satellite accumulation areas and coordinate waste shipments with the EHS supervisor and waste disposal contractor.
  • •Implement spill prevention and control measures (SPCC), order spill response supplies, and perform spill response/prevention activities.
  • •Conduct boots-on-the-ground safety oversight, inspections, safety/environmental training coordination, and support launch day operations and red-team duties.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing aspects of an environmental, health and safety program.
  • •Ability to manage hazardous waste storage and satellite accumulation areas and perform boots-on-the-ground safety oversight.
  • •Experience implementing/developing health and safety plans and policies, including emergency response in incidents involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases.
  • •Ability to use Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and demonstrate strong attention to detail; forklift experience is preferred.
