Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end financial control of investment banking transactions across multiple advisory and fee-based businesses.
  • •Review deal economics, fee structures, engagement terms, billing arrangements, expense allocations, and settlement mechanics.
  • •Partner with investment banking teams, Accounting Policy, and FP&A to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and accurate financial reporting.
  • •Review deal documentation (engagement letters, fee letters, underwriting agreements, financing documentation) from a finance/control perspective.
  • •Produce and validate T+1 P&L and key controls, reconcile to Front Office, perform month-end journals/reconciliations, and substantiate balance sheet accounts.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or Finance within an investment bank, broker-dealer, or financial services institution.
  • •Strong knowledge of investment banking products including advisory, M&A, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, leveraged finance, private capital, or related fee-based businesses.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP.
  • •Experience engaging with Front Office and senior stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline; CPA is a plus.
