Location: Sunnyvale, Austin
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end electrical and FPGA stack for one sensor-bridge board, from requirements and schematic capture to RTL architecture, bring-up, validation, and production transition.
  • •Architect multi-Gbps, mixed-signal PCBA for aggregating camera sensor data and human-robot interface functions across dynamic joints; create and maintain design documentation and fab/assembly drawings.
  • •Design and validate high-speed digital interfaces with signal integrity, impedance control, and length-matching; architect the board power tree and address EMC, ESD, and thermal constraints.
  • •Define FPGA device selection/architecture and develop RTL for CSI-2 ingest, Ethernet packetization, timestamp/metadata insertion, and deterministic multi-camera/IMU synchronization; ensure timing closure and resource/power budgeting.
  • •Lead validation, lab-based debugging, and lifecycle management with vendors/contract manufacturers through PLM systems to support production scaling and DFM/DFA.
Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 244,000 - 270,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with strong FPGA hardware design for time-sensitive, high-performance applications.
  • •Depth in FPGA device selection/architecture and RTL development in VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • •Design and validation experience with high-speed interfaces and signal integrity (e.g., CSI-2, GMSL/SerDes, Ethernet, PCIe) including timing closure and clock-domain crossing.
  • •Experience integrating camera/image sensor hardware and vision systems (e.g., MIPI CSI-2, SerDes links) and sensor streaming for robotics/automotive vision.
  • •Experience with hardware prototyping/testing and lab debugging using instruments like oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and logic analyzers; strong communication skills.
