Key Responsibilities

  • •Technically lead or verify flood hydrological assessments for flood alleviation schemes, reservoir engineering, and flood risk assessments.
  • •Technically review or verify reports documenting hydrological assessments.
  • •Support Water team business development for national and international client projects.
  • •Mentor team staff in hydrological estimation to support professional development.
  • •Stay current on legislation and guidelines affecting services and share updates with the team; represent AECOM at conferences and drive innovation, including AI solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (BSc/BEng/MSc) in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or a related discipline.
  • •More than 15 years of experience leading the estimation of flood flows using FEH and REFH2 for flood mapping and reservoir engineering.
  • •Deep understanding of statistical hydrological analysis and experience using hydraulic modellers to calibrate hydraulic models.
  • •Experience in rating reviews and leading low-flow analysis studies for WINEP projects (advantageous).
  • •Strong leadership and communication skills, including mentoring others and maintaining working relationships with colleagues and clients.
