Job Summary

Build and automate geospatial data pipelines that support AI/ML applications. Research and gather region-specific imagery, raster, vector, and point-cloud datasets from free/public and commercial sources, then manage coverage, freshness, quality, and cost. Develop tooling to clean, transform, align, crop, resample, and postprocess outputs so internal teams can use high-quality geospatial data for new machine learning models and region rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

•Aggregate geospatial data for target regions and ensure complete dataset coverage.
•Research and evaluate open/public and commercial sensor data sources for coverage, quality, and freshness.
•Preprocess and prepare geospatial data using open-source tools (e.g., GDAL) and internal software, including aligning, cropping, and resampling.
•Contribute to internal tools that process and source geospatial datasets.
•Partner with AI/ML, Pipeline, and Product teams to understand data needs and provide diverse, high-quality datasets to support new machine learning algorithms and region rollouts.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
•2+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
•Experience with GIS modalities and formats including orthoimagery (e.g., GeoTIFF), point clouds (e.g., LiDAR LAS/LAZ), vector data (e.g., ESRI Shapefiles, GeoJSON, OSM), and raster elevation/terrain (DTM/DSM/DEM) and landcover data.
•Software engineering experience designing and architecting systems, with required Python experience for automation and/or contributing to existing tools.
•Experience with open-source GIS libraries and tools (including PROJ and GDAL) and comfort working in a Linux/*nix shell environment (e.g., bash).
