Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete Air Traffic Management Equipment Technical Safeguarding in line with MAA RA 3136.
  • •Maintain, service, install, and control Management Radio Equipment (MRE) and Crash Communications Public Address Systems supporting the Station Crash Plan.
  • •Maintain and control station frequency allocations, renewals, and updates, including liaison with the Air Radio Reserve Battlespace Management Team.
  • •Resolve point-to-point Air Traffic Management Equipment network faults and provide ATM Equipment Infringement, RADHAZ, and Electromagnetic Interference advice in Station Siting Boards.
  • •Carry out Building Custodian duties for Ground Radio Installation buildings and support battlespace management engineering for a safe operating environment.

Key Requirements

  • •Be SC cleared or able to obtain SC clearance, and meet BPSS clearance requirements.
  • •Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and a science subject.
  • •Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (with less than 6 penalty points) and meet eyesight colour perception CP2 standard.
  • •Have experience working in an airfield or aviation engineering environment (desirable) and/or ATC ground radio or avionics/mechanical maintenance experience.
  • •Be able to interpret and apply MoD legislation including Military Airworthiness Authority Regulatory Articles, and complete the mandatory three-week Airfield Support Team training course at RAF Cosford.
