Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a truck and trailer according to state and federal transportation laws while transporting loads safely and timely.
  • •Navigate loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals, and assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment.
  • •Maintain invoices and shipping paperwork (shipping bills of lading and other required documentation) and deliver completed documentation to the shipping office.
  • •Perform routine service checks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • •Arrange trailers in shipping yards and perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the weight of the vehicle operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and travel frequently.
